The 55th Henson & Stringfellow Lecture is confirmed for the 25th February 2010 and will be on the subject of 100 Years of Naval Aviation presented by Rear Admiral Simon Charlier, RN, Chief of Staff (Aviation).  Tickets to this event includes a 3-course banquet followed by the lecture itself and are priced at £25 each.

It is with great sadness that we have to announce that Fred Ballam passed away on 13th December after a short illness.

 

Fred played a major role with the Royal Aeronautical Society as Secretary and committee member for the Yeovil branch and also with the main Society as a member of the historical group.  He was in fact a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.

 

As part of Fred's work a substantial amount of archive material has been accumulated which will in time form a fitting memorial.
